Last weekend I took Evan and Simon camping. It was their first real camping trip. We when to Falls Lake which was about 25 minutes from our house. We picked out a site and set up camp. After setting up our tent and unpacking everything, we went down to the lake. We walked around for a while, checking out the beach and fishing piers. Unfortunately with the drought, the water level was pretty low. We tried some fishing in the afternoon but it was pretty hot. In the evening we cooked dinner over the campfire and had smores for dessert. The boys thought this was cool!
During the night it cooled off and when we woke up in the morning it felt wonderful. The boys were begging to go fishing again so after breakfast we went to the fishing pier to try again. We did not catch anything but we still had fun. We had a great time but I will not do it during the summer. It has to be during the spring or fall because it was too hot during the day.
